Lucas Barros

Lucas Barros arrived at Vojvodina in the summer of 2024 as a left-back. Gil Vicente announced the permanent transfer on 30 June 2024, effective the following day, for a fee of €150,000. He signed a three-year contract with the Serbian club.

The route there began at Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro, where he came through the youth setup and made his senior debut in January 2019. He gathered around 16 senior appearances across Série A, the Campeonato Carioca and the Copa Sudamericana. A long-term injury then took him out of the game from March 2020 until July 2021. He was still registered at Botafogo during the 2021 Série B campaign, but left in August, before the closing rounds.

Portugal came next, on a free transfer to Sporting Covilhã in the second division. That season was the most straightforward of his career so far: 30 appearances, 29 of them in the league, and one assist. It earned him a two-year deal at Gil Vicente in July 2022, also on a free. He made no first-team appearances, spending the season largely with the U23 side.

The loan to Tondela from July 2023 put him back on the pitch: 34 appearances over the 2023–24 season, 28 of them in Liga Portugal 2.
