Luuk Brouwers

Luuk Brouwers joined FC Den Bosch's academy at the age of nine, working his way up through the club and the joint Brabant United project before he was handed a debut for the first team in April 2015, aged just 16. He went on to make 92 appearances for Den Bosch, scoring eight goals, before leaving on a free transfer to Go Ahead Eagles in 2020.

It was at Go Ahead Eagles that Brouwers made his name. Across two seasons he scored 10 goals in 66 appearances, form that brought him the Eredivisie Player of the Month award in October 2021 and two Team of the Month selections. That form pushed his value up, and in March 2022 FC Utrecht paid a fee reported between €1.1 million and €1.3 million to sign him. He made 25 Eredivisie appearances in his only full season at Utrecht.

In August 2023, Brouwers moved to SC Heerenveen on loan with an obligation to buy, a deal structured with a bonus of €130,000 for every five matches he played. The obligation was triggered in July 2024, when Heerenveen made the move permanent for a fee of around €0.9 million. He scored six times in 26 league games in his first season and three in 25 the following campaign.

On 2 September 2026, Brouwers left Heerenveen for Cypriot side Omonia Nicosia. The club's technical manager described the fee as a "small amount", though it was reported to be in the region of €1.5 million. He signed a contract running for two years with a further year's option.
