About the player
Mads Bomholt came through AaB's own academy after moving there from Hadsund Boldklub as a boy. He made his senior debut in the Danish 1st Division in August 2023, helping the club win promotion to the Superliga that same season with 17 league appearances. He played 29 league matches and scored three goals in 2024–2025. When the club was relegated the following season, he added 18 appearances and two goals before his AaB career ended. In total he made 64 league appearances and scored five goals for the club.
In January 2026 Rosenborg BK signed the midfielder on a five-year contract, a deal reported to be worth around two million euros. He made 19 league appearances and scored one goal for his new club by September 2026.
Bomholt has also represented Denmark at youth level, scoring twice in six caps for the under-19s in 2024 before adding three appearances for the under-20 side.
