About the player
Marcus Haagensen Reed made his senior debut for Aalesund in March 2026, a breakthrough that came only after he had first been sent out to play for the club's reserve side, Aalesund 2, in the 3. divisjon. The forward's route to that first-team debut ran through Aalesund's academy, which he joined at the age of 14 having come through the youth ranks at Rollon IL. He signed his first professional contract with Aalesund in the 2024/2025 season, and his current deal runs until the end of 2028.
Reed's form before the season proper gave an early hint of what he could offer, with a brace in a 6–1 pre-season friendly win over Brattvåg in February 2026. Once promoted to the senior side, he went on to make eight appearances in the Eliteserien during the 2026 campaign, scoring three goals, and added one outing in the Norwegian Cup, where he featured in a 1–0 win over Bodø/Glimt in May.
He wore the number 27 shirt as he made that step up.
