Papis Malaly Dembélé

Papis Malaly Dembélé came through at AS Nancy, first with the reserve side and then breaking into the senior team, where he spent time in Ligue 2 before a free move to Rodez AF. Between the two clubs he built up 121 Ligue 2 appearances, the most in the division among players of his profile — seven for Nancy and four for Rodez.

His career shifted direction in 2022 with a free transfer to Turkey and Bandırmaspor, and it was in the TFF 1. Lig that he found his scoring form. At Ankara Keçiörengücü he scored 19 goals in 75 appearances across two seasons, including five in eleven matches during the 2022–23 campaign and four in the Turkish Cup the following season. That run carried into his move to Sarıyer on a free transfer in July 2025, where he added seven goals in 34 league appearances wearing the number 9 shirt.

Born in Ivry-sur-Seine and of Malian descent, Dembélé has not been capped at senior international level by either France or Mali, despite having expressed interest in playing for Mali. In July 2026 he left Turkey for Poland, joining Śląsk Wrocław on a free transfer to play in the Ekstraklasa, where he switched to the number 10 shirt. His goal tally across his career stands at around 47 in all competitions.
