About the player
Marco Schabauer came through SC Aspang and USV Scheiblingkirchen-Warth before the AKA St. Pölten academy took him on in 2018, developing him there for five years. He made his mark with LASK Amateure OÖ in the 2023–2024 season, making 26 appearances and scoring 6 goals in the Regionalliga — enough to earn him a brief registration with the senior LASK squad, though he made no appearances at that level.
His move came in July 2024, when he joined Admira Wacker on loan from LASK under a cooperation agreement. Admira converted the loan into a permanent transfer in June 2025. Across his time at the club he made 38 appearances in the 2. Liga, scoring 3 goals.
In June 2026 Schabauer moved on again, this time to Wolfsberger AC on a free transfer, signing a contract until 2028. He has made four appearances there so far.
