About the player
Rivera came through the youth ranks at AS Rochoise and FC Bourgoin-Jallieu before joining the Saint-Étienne academy in 2015, where he spent four years before signing his first professional contract in January 2020, making 36 appearances for each — though he scored ten goals for Saint-Étienne B and none for the senior squad. A loan spell at Le Puy Foot 43 Auvergne in the 2022–23 season gave him regular football in the Championnat National, where he made 22 appearances and scored twice.
He left Saint-Étienne as a free agent in June 2024 and signed with USL Dunkerque before his move to SC Heerenveen on 20 June 2025. The transfer, worth €600,000, included a 10% sell-on clause for Dunkerque, and Rivera put pen to a three-year contract with an option for a fourth season.
Internationally, Rivera represented France at youth level, earning five caps for the under-18s in 2020. A call-up to the under-19 squad that October did not translate into further caps: the fixtures against Germany were cancelled after a COVID-19 case in the squad, leaving him without competitive under-19 appearances.
