Melayro Chakewno Jalaino Bogarde

The ÖFB-Cup that LASK Linz won on 1 May 2026, beating Rheindorf Altach 4–2, was the club's first since 1965. Bogarde was part of the squad that ended that 61-year wait, and part of the one that took the Austrian Bundesliga title in the same 2025–26 season — two trophies from a signing that cost LASK nothing, a free transfer in July 2024.

The route ran through the Netherlands and Germany. He spent nine years at Feyenoord's Varkenoord academy from 2009, then moved in 2018 to the youth setup at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. In 2019 he was in the Netherlands side that won the UEFA European Under-17 Championship, and he was named in the Team of the Tournament; of his youth caps, 17 came at U17 level.

Senior football at Hoffenheim came in smaller amounts. He made 11 Bundesliga appearances across two seasons, one in the DFB-Pokal and four in the Europa League, while the bulk of his football there — 52 matches and three goals — was played for Hoffenheim II. Two loans took him back to Dutch clubs: seven league games at FC Groningen in the first half of 2022, ten at PEC Zwolle over the following season.

Linz has given him more of the pitch than either. Since arriving he has passed 57 appearances for LASK and scored three goals. His senior international career began on 26 March 2026, when he made his debut for Suriname in a 2–1 defeat by Bolivia in the inter-confederation playoffs for the World Cup.
