Miguel Barbieri

Miguel Barbieri came through the ranks at CA Defensores de Belgrano, making his debut there in 2011 and winning the Primera C title with the club in 2014. That breakthrough led to a move to Racing Club in February 2016, initially on loan with an option to buy half his rights. Two years later he switched to Rosario Central on loan, joining after the early rounds of the 2017–18 Copa Argentina had already been played; he was registered with the squad by the time of the final in December 2018 but did not feature in the competition itself.

Barbieri returned to Racing Club before crossing to Mexican football in January 2020, signing for Club Tijuana. A loan spell took him to Deportivo Toluca for the 2021–2022 season, after which he went back to Tijuana. In January 2023 he joined Querétaro FC on loan, a move made permanent a year later. He returned to Argentina and to Rosario Central as a free agent in July 2024, before a further free transfer took him to Deportivo Riestra in June 2025, where he now wears the number six shirt.

The centre-back's career has since taken him further afield still: in July 2026 he left Argentina again, this time for Universidad de Concepción in Chile, also on a free transfer.
