About the player
Mihailo Protasevich is a product of the Veres Rivne academy, though his path there ran through Dynamo Kyiv's youth ranks first. Born in Kuznetsovsk, now known as Varash, he started out at UFK Karpaty in Lviv before moving through BRV-VIK and VIK-Volyn, then spent a year in the Dynamo Kyiv system before returning to Rivne Oblast to join Veres' under-19 side.
He signed his first professional contract with Veres Rivne in December 2023, tying him to the club for four and a half years. The senior debut followed in August 2024, in a Ukrainian Premier League fixture against Karpaty Lviv — the same club where his youth career had begun. Since then he has built up 36 league appearances for Veres and scored one goal.
Protasevich has also stepped onto the international stage. In October 2025 he made his debut for Ukraine's under-21 side, starting in a UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier away to Croatia in Nova Gorica, a match Ukraine lost 1–0.
