Valentyn Gorokh

Valentyn Gorokh joined Karpaty Lviv's academy in 2015 and signed his first professional contract with the Lviv club in July 2018, before making his senior debut in 2020. He spent three years with the first team, though appearances there were limited, and in July 2021 he moved on a free transfer to PFC Oleksandria, where first-team chances remained scarce.

His breakthrough in terms of market value came in July 2023, when Kolos Kovalivka paid a reported €100,000 to sign him. Even so, playing time at Kolos stayed limited during his two years there. Gorokh left when his contract expired and joined Veres Rivne on a free transfer on 1 July 2025, making his debut for the club the following month.

At Veres, Gorokh has finally become a first-choice goalkeeper. He has started regularly through the 2025/26 season, and by late in the year he had kept five clean sheets in ten matches. Slavuta, in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, is his birthplace.

Internationally, Gorokh's involvement has so far been confined to the youth ranks: a single cap for Ukraine's under-17 side in 2017, followed by five appearances for the under-18s in 2019. He has not been called into the senior national team, and his career to date has not brought any individual awards or team honours.
