Philip Sandvik Aukland

Philip Sandvik Aukland came through the ranks at IK Start without breaking into the first team, spending three years registered with the senior squad and making no league appearances there. It was away from Start that he found his footing: a loan at Arendal Fotball brought him 15 league games in 2018, and a move to IF Fram Larvik the following year produced four goals in 15 matches.

The real turning point came in August 2019, when Aukland signed for Fredrikstad FK. He grew into a trusted centre-back there, making 85 league appearances and scoring twice. He was part of the squad that won the OBOS-ligaen in 2023, taking Fredrikstad up to the Eliteserien, and followed that with a Norwegian Cup triumph in 2024.

In February 2025, with his contract at Fredrikstad expired, Aukland signed a four-year deal with Aalesunds FK. Reports differ slightly on the terms of the move, with some records listing a nominal fee around €85,000 despite the transfer being widely described as free. At Aalesund he has continued in the same role that defined his time at Fredrikstad, helping the club win promotion from the 1. divisjon back to the Eliteserien, and had made 16 league appearances for the club by the middle of 2026.
