Patrick Robert Metcalfe

Metcalfe is a product of the Vancouver Whitecaps academy, having come through Richmond FC and Fusion FC before joining the club's development system in 2016. He worked his way up through the U-18 side, a spell with the UBC Thunderbirds and loan stints at Whitecaps FC 2 and TSS FC Rovers, signing an MLS Homegrown contract in January 2020 and making his senior debut that year. His option was declined after the 2021 season, and he left for Norway in March 2022, joining Stabæk on a free transfer and starting 23 league matches that year.

A move to Fredrikstad FK in March 2023 followed by the Norwegian Cup in 2024. He departed the club in December 2024, returned on a new deal in March 2025, then left again in April 2026. HamKam signed him as a free agent that same month, on a contract running to the end of 2026.

At his new club, Metcalfe has been starting all 15 of HamKam's Eliteserien fixtures, with a goal and four assists to his name, alongside appearances in the NM Cup and European qualifiers.

Internationally, Metcalfe represented Canada at U23 level in 2021, making four appearances without scoring as the side reached the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship. He was also included in a senior national team training camp that year, though a full cap at that level has not followed.
