About the player
In April 2023, GoalPoint named Paulo Vítor the Primeira Liga's player of the month.
He started at Vitória-ES in 2009, then moved through the lower reaches of Brazilian football: Botafogo-SP from 2012, a few months at EC Aracruz, a season and a half at Audax Rio EC, and a brief spell at Rio Branco Atlético Clube. In August 2015 he left for Portugal and signed with Varzim SC.
At Varzim he played around 80 matches. In the 2017/18 season he scored a goal. Rio Ave FC signed him on a free transfer in August 2018, but he made only about ten appearances across two seasons there.
In June 2023 he moved to Saudi Arabia with Al-Okhdood, where he played some 63 matches over two years.
In the 2025/26 season he has made 26 appearances for the club, keeping 13 clean sheets across 2,340 minutes.
