Pedro Pacheco

Pedro Pacheco began his career in the youth ranks of Basel in Switzerland, where he won the Swiss Super League with the under-21 side in 2015/16 without breaking into the first team. He returned to Portugal on loan at Lusitânia, then spent two years at Operário before a first, brief spell at Santa Clara in 2018/19. Spells at Amarante and Mafra followed, and it was at Mafra that he made 71 appearances over two seasons.

He rejoined Santa Clara in August 2023, and the move quickly paid off. In 2023/24 he was a regular in the side that won Liga Portugal 2 and secured promotion, and he was named in the team of the tournament for that campaign. That summer he also took on a role alongside his playing duties.

His return to the top flight was cut short. After making three appearances in the opening months of 2024/25, he suffered a serious knee injury in pre-season training in July 2024, rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and undergoing surgery that ruled him out for a year and a half. He signed a contract extension with Santa Clara that October while still recovering. He finally returned to action in March 2026 in a win over Vitória de Guimarães, and has since made further appearances for the club in the following two seasons.

At youth international level, Pacheco was capped by Portugal's under-19 side, scoring once, and later played for the under-20s, though he has not featured for the senior national team.
