Renato Widmer D'Autilia

Renato Widmer D'Autilia was born in Salvador, Brazil, and holds dual citizenship, Brazilian by birth and Italian through his father. He has represented Italy's youth sides, with an appearance for the Italy Under-18s after coming through the Under-15 and Under-16 squads.

His path into professional football began at Palmeiras before he left Brazil for Italy in 2018 to join Inter Milan's academy. There he won the Italian Under-14 Championship, playing a key part in the final stages against Roma and Empoli. He left Inter in the summer of 2022 for Bologna, where he worked his way up from the Under-17 side to the Primavera squad under coach Rivalta, and signed a contract extension with the club running to 2027.

Basel signed him in August 2025, initially assigning him to the club's Under-21 side in the Promotion League, Switzerland's third tier, on a contract until 2028. His progress at the club has been rapid: by May 2026 Basel had already extended his deal by four years, to 2030, and promoted him into the first-team set-up. He has not yet made his senior debut, but was named among the substitutes for a Super League fixture against Lugano.
