Rory William McKenzie

Rory McKenzie is a Kilmarnock lifer. He made his senior debut for the club as a substitute against Inverness Caledonian Thistle in April 2011, having come through the youth ranks after joining in 2005, and has barely looked elsewhere since. The one exception was a loan spell at Brechin City in the second half of the 2011–12 season, where he scored seven goals in 17 appearances.

Since then, McKenzie has simply stayed and kept extending. His most recent contract renewal, signed in March 2024, runs to 2027, and by 2026 he has passed 379 senior appearances for the club, putting him among its most capped players in the modern era. That longevity has coincided with one of Kilmarnock's most significant modern achievements: the Scottish Championship title in 2021–22, which brought the club back to the Premiership and was its first league title of any kind since 1965. McKenzie was a key part of that squad, and his performances across the campaign earned him the club's Players' Player of the Year award for 2022.

At international level, his representative career stopped short of the senior side, though he did earn caps for Scotland's U19 and U21 teams either side of his loan spell at Brechin.
