About the player
Siebe Horemans made his senior debut for KAA Gent in August 2016. A loan at OH Leuven in the first half of 2017 brought seven appearances and a single goal, and Gent later sent him out again, this time to Excelsior for the 2018–19 season. When his contract in Gent expired, he made the move permanent, signing for Excelsior on a free transfer in July 2019.
Across six years in Rotterdam he made 167 league appearances, scored nine goals and set up between 17 and 19 more, numbers that reflect a right-back who pushed forward as much as he defended. In the 2020–21 Eerste Divisie season, he was among the division's leading providers of assists from a defensive position.
Utrecht signed him as a free agent on 1 July 2024. He has since made 63 appearances for the club, contributing three goals and ten assists, including 29 league outings in his first season, 2024–25.
Horemans has not featured for Belgium's senior side, but he passed through the country's youth system, gathering caps at under-16, under-17, under-18 and under-19 level.
