Sergio Barcia

Sergio Barcia came through Celta Vigo's academy, went on loan to Ourense, then joined Granada, where two seasons with the reserve side led to two appearances for the first team. A spell back with Celta's B team followed, then Mirandés, where he captained the side through 40 matches in 2023-24 before a hamstring injury of his own ended that season early as well.

In July 2024 he moved to Legia Warsaw, where he became a regular starter and won the Polish Cup in 2025, starting as Legia beat Pogoń Szczecin 2-0 in the final. In that season's UEFA Conference League he scored once in seven appearances, though a handball against Brøndby in qualifying gave away a penalty in a match Legia went on to win 2-1.

Las Palmas signed him on loan last summer with an option to buy, and he started all 34 of the club's Segunda División matches before the injury against Valladolid. The club later chose not to trigger the buy-out clause, citing a lack of funds and a change of strategy after missing out on promotion to La Liga. Barcia instead joined Braga at the end of June for a fee of €1.5m, signing a contract to 2030 that includes a €40m release clause.
