Xianjun Wang

Xianjun Wang's route to senior football went through a dispute rather than a straightforward promotion. Registered with Dalian Yifang's first-team squad in 2018 without making a competitive appearance, he signed for Guangzhou R&F early the following year, only for Dalian to contest the move over contract issues. The Chinese Football Association stepped in, the transfer was blocked, and Wang was left unable to play for either side until he returned to Dalian, by then renamed Dalian Professional, at the end of 2019.

His senior debut followed that autumn: a Chinese FA Cup appearance in September 2020, then a league bow days later. He stayed with Dalian Professional through to 2023, settling in as a left-sided defender and amassing 44 appearances across league and cup, though he never found the net for the club.

A free transfer took him to Tianjin Jinmen Tiger, known as Tianjin Teda, at the start of 2024. He has since become a regular there, passing 50 league appearances and opening his goalscoring account for the club.

At international level, Wang's involvement has stayed at youth level. He was capped by China's U17s in 2016 and later featured for the U19s at the 2018 Bangkok Cup, a fixture against Jordan that China lost. He also had a brief run with the China U23 side in 2023, but a senior call-up has not followed.
