About the player
In the 2024/25 season, in his first year as a senior with 1. FC Kaiserslautern II in the Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz/Saar, he made 33 appearances, scored 16 goals and added 20 assists, finishing as the division's top scorer. On the back of that he moved on a free transfer to FC Astoria Walldorf in the Regionalliga Südwest, where the output barely dipped: 28 appearances, 25 goals and three assists in the league, plus three more goals in the Baden Cup. By December he was again among the division's leading scorers, with 10 goals and eight assists to his name for the season.
That record persuaded Hoffenheim II to sign him on a free transfer. He arrives at the club as an attacking midfielder who can also play off the left, built through youth spells at Karlsruher SC, SV Waldhof Mannheim and Kaiserslautern before he ever kicked a ball for a first team.
Born in Bretten, Zor holds German and Turkish citizenship. He has not been capped by any Germany youth side, though his brother Danyal Zor did represent Germany at U18 and U19 level. Yasin has attended a training camp with the Turkey U19 side without earning an official cap there either.
