Aarhus Håndbold Women

Aarhus Håndbold Women spent last season back in the 1. Division, relegated after a single campaign in the Kvindeligaen.

The team itself only exists since 1 July 2024, born out of a merger between Aarhus United's women's side and the men's outfit Aarhus HC, and owned through the foundation Aarhus Støtter Håndbolden. The name did not come easily: Skanderborg AGF Håndbold contested the right to call itself Aarhus Håndbold, and the dispute was settled out of court shortly before the season began. Locally the club is known simply as AH.

Home games are played at Ceres Stadionhal, a 1,200-seat venue inside the wider Ceres Arena complex, with the team turning out in brown and blue. Under the old Aarhus United name, the club's best finish was third place in the Kvindeligaen in 2017-18, along with a bronze medal in the Danish Cup the same year — modest by the standards of Danish women's handball, and nothing has been added to that record since the rebrand.

Line Berggren Larsen's return gave the new club its clearest storyline. Jeppe Vestergaard took charge of the women's side for its debut season.
