Al-Bidda

Al-Bidda's sharpest disappointment carries a name: Al-Kharaitiyat, who beat them 2-1 in the 2021-22 Second Division League final and denied them a first taste of top-flight ambition before it had properly started. The rematch of sorts came in March 2025, when Al-Bidda beat Al-Sailiya 2-0 to lift the Second Division Cup for a second time, having first won it in 2022.

Recognition took work. The Qatar Football Association granted Al-Bidda club status in September 2018, opening a place in the Second Division from that season, and followed it five years later, in September 2023, with full professional membership — the status that lets a club pursue promotion rather than simply make up the numbers. The target since has been the Qatar Stars League, not yet reached. Timothy Akinola arrived from Arsenal's under-23 squad in 2023, part of a squad rebuilt with an eye on that promotion.

The Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium, home to Al-Bidda, doubles as the Qatar SC Stadium and holds around 12,000. Yellow and white make up the colours, the shirt usually gold. In September 2026, Al-Bidda beat Qatar's under-23 national team 2-0, Hugo Alba and Cristian scoring the goals — a result well above anything the club had managed in its Second Division seasons. It began in 2015 as a project with little more than a name, three years before the Qatar Football Association made it official.
