Dravinja

Football in Slovenske Konjice grew out of a sports club that took the town's own name in 1934 — Sportni Klub Konjice. The name Dravinja arrived in 1968. Then, between 1977 and 1980, the club spent three seasons as Unior. It came back out the other side, and in 1999 was reconstituted. The current name, ND Dravinja, dates from 2003.

What has not changed in that whole sequence is the ground. Stadion Dobrava has been home since 1934, and it is a small one — a capacity of 1200, of which 420 are seats.

The competitive story is largely one of the third tier, and of getting out of it. Dravinja have won the 3. SNL four times, in 2000, 2009, 2014 and 2023. The closest the club has come to the top flight was 2005–06, when it finished second in the 2. SNL . There is a regional cup on the shelf too, the Pokal MNZ Celje of 2007, and a national youth championship from 1985.

The Konji have never played in the 1. SNL.
