Promotion has come six times, in 1975/76, 1979/80, 1981/82, 1992/93, 2017/18 and 2021/22. None of those stints in the top flight, the Nationalliga A, produced a title; the furthest the club got was fourth place, twice, back when it still played under the name HC Emmenstrand. The current club dates to June 2009, formed when the handball section of ATVE Emmenbrücke merged with HC Emmenstrand.
