The step up came in the 2022–23 season, when Beyoğlu Yeni Çarşı SF won the 3. Lig play-off championship and with it a place in the 2. Lig.

That climb had its own staircase: the Istanbul 2. Amatör title in 2004–05, the 1. Amatör championship in 2011–12, the Istanbul SAL title the year after, then back-to-back wins in the Bölgesel Amatör Lig play-offs in 2013–14 and 2015–16 that carried the club toward professional football.

The club started life in 2004 as Halide Edip Adıvar Spor Kulübü, formed around the playing rights of Kasımpaşa Harb-İş Dikimevi, though it had already been turning out in local tournaments since 1997. In 2021 it took on the name and identity of Beyoğlu Yeni Çarşıspor, an older Istanbul club founded in 1954, and switched its colours from red and white to the blue and white it plays in now.

Home games moved too, from the 6,500-capacity Vefa Stadyumu to the far smaller Beyoğlu Stadyumu, which holds 1,375. Sitting close to Galatasaray High School, the club has long been described locally as a kind of amateur Galatasaray, without any formal rivalry ever taking hold.

The name still most closely tied to the club is Metin Kurt, who played for it before returning to serve as its president between 1979 and 1981.
