Hapoel Ironi Arraba

Arraba sits in the Lower Galilee. The town's team collapsed under debt more than once before the current club took shape in 2019, picking up the name Hapoel Ironi Arraba after its predecessor, Ahva Arraba, folded. Ahva itself had been a rebuilding of an older Hapoel Arraba, which last played in Liga Bet in the 2003–04 season, and the name it chose said as much about the town as about the game: 'Ahva' means Brotherhood in Hebrew, echoed by 'Al-Akhwa' in Arabic.

That earlier club had actually gone somewhere. Between 2004 and 2009 it climbed from Liga Gimel all the way to Liga Leumit, taking the Liga Alef North title in 2008–09 on the way up, before the drops came and the debts caught up with it. None of those honours travelled with the name to the new entity — Hapoel Ironi Arraba started again from nothing in 2019.

The club now works its way through Liga Alef North, the third tier, playing home games at the Mahmoud al-Sah Stadium in front of crowds the ground's 2,500 seats could comfortably hold. In the Israel State Cup it has gone as far as the fourth round, in 2019–20. Local weekends still bring out the old grudges against Tzeirei Tira and Hapoel Kafr Qasim.

Three names, three collapses, one stadium that has outlasted all of them: 2,500.
