Kfar Saba 1928

The rivalry that matters at Levita Stadium is not the one on the pitch but the one that put a second team in the ground: Kfar Saba 1928 shares its home with Hapoel Kfar Saba, the club its own supporters walked out of. The split came in 2023, when a group of fans broke away over the running of the original club under owner Yitzhak Shum, and set up a side of their own rather than keep watching from the stands. The name marks the year Hapoel Kfar Saba itself was founded, and the green kit is a direct copy of the shirt Hapoel wore in the 1990s — a claim to the club's past made in cloth rather than words. Locally the newer side also meets Beitar Kfar Saba, but that fixture carries none of the weight of the one against the club it left behind.

Run by its own fan association, with Itai Stern as chairman, the club has moved fast since 2023: promotion from Liga Gimel in its first season, then straight up again through Liga Bet, landing it in Liga Alef, the third tier, within two years of forming. No cup or league title has followed either promotion — the story so far is the climb itself, not what came after it.

Omri Peddah, the captain, has become the closest thing the project has to a face for what the fans built; Idan David took over as head coach for the 2025/2026 season, tasked with keeping the momentum from stalling a third tier. What holds the club together, more than results, is the reason it exists at all: a support that decided a badge should answer to them, not to an owner.
