Hala Legionów seats 4,200, a modest number for a club whose trophy case runs the length of the room, and Kielce has never needed more: European nights there arrive as sell-outs regardless of the visitor, with roughly 3,000 permanent seats filled well before the away side finishes its warm-up.
The record built inside that hall is the reason the ground rarely feels big enough. What set the club apart from other Polish sides was crossing that dominance into Europe: the EHF Champions League title in 2015–16 remains the only one won by a Polish handball club, and Kielce backed it up with two further finals in 2021–22 and 2022–23, losing both.
Names carried that run as much as trophies did. Against Orlen Wisła Płock, those names have mattered more than form on the day.
