Kunovice Women

SHK Kunovice's senior women now play in the second-tier 1. Liga žen, a step down from the MOL Liga, where the club spent recent seasons before finishing thirteenth in 2021/2022 and dropping out.

The club's paperwork dates to 16 December 2004, when the Sdružení házenkářských klubů SHK Kunovice was formally registered, but the town's women had been playing top-flight handball well before that: a side called TJ LEX Kunovice competed in the Extraliga as early as the 1999/2000 season. The 2004 registration marks a change of legal form, not the start of the sport in Kunovice.

The best measure of what the club has produced came in 2002, when Lenka Romanová was named the best handball player in the Czech Republic while playing for SHK Kunovice. Lucie Fleková, capped for the Czech under-17s, left for DHK Zora Olomouc in 2023, following a path already associated with the club through its youth connections to Lucie Fabíková, a three-time national player-of-the-year winner tied more closely to Olomouc than to Kunovice itself.
