Marsaxlokk

Marsaxlokk Ground holds a thousand people on a plot in the fishing town that gives the club its name. That fits a club whose ground has variously been recorded at 1,000 and, in other listings, at 150 seated places.

The club was formed on 11 November 1949 as Marsaxlokk White Stars, taking its current name in 1954. What has changed, repeatedly, is the division: Third Division titles in 1985/86 and 1991/92, the Second Division in 1999/00, the First Division in 2001/02. The club has gone up and down the Maltese pyramid more often than it has stayed still.

One season sits above the rest. Daniel Bogdanović took the league's top scorer award that year with 31 goals, while Andrè Schembri was the club's own leading scorer as the title was won.
