Mladost Lješkopolje

Podgorica's football map runs through the capital's central clubs, but out on the eastern edge, in the Lješkopolje area that gathers villages such as Donja Gorica, Gornja Gorica, Donji Kokoti, Farmaci, Grbavci and Beri, OFK Mladost Lješkopolje started out in Yugoslavia's lower divisions, and in the 1972/73 season it won the Fourth League's Central Group, earning promotion into the Montenegrin republican league, then the third tier of Yugoslav football. The rise did not hold: 11th place followed in 1973/74, then last place, 16th, a year later, and the club dropped straight back down. By the end of the 1970s it had stopped playing altogether.

The Lješkopolje side that took shape in its early years measured itself against Napredak, the neighbouring club from Donji Kokoti.

The name returned in 2014, as OFK Mladost 1970. The 2016/17 season brought the Montenegrin Third League title together with the Central Cup, and a year later, playing as OFK Mladost 1970 Lješkopolje, the club finished third in the Montenegrin First League, a result that opened the door to Europa League qualifying. The 2018/19 season added the Second League title. In 2019 the club changed its name again, to FK Podgorica.

Since then the top-flight results have settled into a mid-table pattern: fifth in 2019/20, fourth the year after, ninth in 2021/22, seventh in 2024/25. Home games are played at the DG Arena, known in the Lješkopolje years as Stari Ribnjak.
