New England II

Foxborough sits well outside Boston proper, a town built around a single stadium that the Patriots fill on autumn Sundays and that shrinks, for soccer, to a tighter shell of 20,000 seats. Gillette Stadium can hold 64,628 for American football; New England Revolution II plays inside that reduced footprint, wearing the parent club's red at home and white with red trim on the road, with no nickname of its own beyond the shorthand "Revs II."

The club was announced on 9 October 2019, built as a pathway rather than a standalone project, and it entered USL League One for the 2020 season. That first year ended ninth, with no play-offs run because of the pandemic; 2021 brought eighth place. On 6 December 2021 the team switched leagues, joining the newly formed MLS Next Pro for 2022 — a move that tied it more directly to the first team's academy pipeline. Damian Rivera came through those early USL League One years before moving on to Phoenix Rising FC, and Earl Edwards Jr. spent 2021 and 2022 in goal before going to San Jose Earthquakes; Malcolm Fry signed with the senior Revolution in 2023 after two seasons here.

The nearest the club has come to silverware was 2023: 14 wins, six draws, six defeats, 56 points, second in the Eastern Conference and through to the conference final. Columbus Crew 2 beat them there, and no trophy has followed since — 2024 dropped to 15th and out of the play-off picture entirely. That defeat to Columbus Crew 2 remains the closest thing Revolution II have to a score still unsettled, the one result the club has come nearest to overturning and has not yet had the chance to.
