Paderborn U19

The senior side in Paderborn came together in 1985, when TuS Paderborn-Neuhaus and SV 07 Neuhaus merged, and the youth structure was built as part of that club rather than as anything separate. The 1907 in the badge belongs further back, to Arminia Neuhaus. The A-Junioren-Bundesliga West is the league in which it has spent its recent years.

Alexander Nübel came through here. He joined the youth teams in 2005 and stayed until 2014, when he left for Schalke 04 — nine years in Paderborn, and the moves that followed, to Wolfsburg, Bayern Munich and later Besiktas, all started from a goalkeeper the club raised itself.

The results that stand out are recent and clustered. In 2018/19 the side reached the semi-finals of the DFB-Junioren-Pokal. Then came the German A-Juniors Championship: the quarter-finals in 2025/26, the semi-finals a season later. Two knockout runs in consecutive years.

Arminia Bielefeld is the fixture that carries most weight — the OWL-Derby.

Home games are usually at the Ahorn-Sportpark, with 4,000 places, though much of the week is spent at the Almepark youth performance centre.

What the U19 side has not managed is a national title.
