The Preußenstadion has been a building site around a working football pitch. Its seating stands at 12,794 while the rebuild goes on, and the plan is for 19,165 by the time the work finishes in 2027/2028.
The under-19s are the Jungadler, the young half of the Eagles, and they play in the U19-DFB-Nachwuchsliga. The German Football Association's junior cup, the DFB Junioren Pokal, is the other route out of the regular season. Neither has yet been won.
Janis Hohenhövel took the side in October 2020 and has run it since.
The runners-up place in the 1951 German Championship remains the highest the name has reached.
