Rally Madison Fc Women

Rally Madison FC opened its USL W League record with a loss away to Minnesota Aurora FC in May 2026, in a fixture both sides had already nicknamed the First Border Battle — a nod to the two states sitting next to each other, not to any history between the clubs. There wasn't one yet.

The club itself had been waiting longer than that game suggests. Forward Madison FC, the city's men's side, secured the franchise rights for a women's team on 16 May 2023, but the name Rally Madison FC and the identity built around it were not made public until 12 December 2025, more than two years later.

That identity drew on local history rather than football. The colours, gold and purple, were chosen in reference to Wisconsin's suffrage movement. Around the ground, supporters have settled on calling the team simply Rally.

Home matches are played at Breese Stevens Field, a ground with two different capacities depending on the event: 9,333 when it hosts concerts, closer to 5,000 when it is set up for football.

None of that has translated into silverware yet — the 2026 season is Rally's first, so there are no trophies and no settled rival, only that opening loss to Minnesota Aurora FC to measure the next meeting against.
