Royal Vision

Nyange and Caleb, both signed from Inter Star, arrived not only as players but as the men who then took charge of running the club — a takeover that reshaped how the side operates as much as how it plays.

The club itself dates to 1989, when it started out as Royal FC de Muramvya. It carried that name for more than three decades before the 2023/24 season, when it re-emerged under a new identity, Royal Vision 2026 .

In the Primus Ligue, Burundi's top division, the record has stayed modest: a ninth-place finish in 2021/22 is the best the club has managed, and no league title or cup has come its way. A relegation to Ligue B followed, and it took until the close of the 2023/24 campaign to win the place back in the top flight.

Matches are played at Stade Urunani in Buganda, Cibitoke Province, which holds 7,000. Back in Ligue A after a season away, Royal Vision now has to show that the promotion was more than a single good campaign.
