Ruch Chorzów

Fourteen Polish championships sit on the club's record. The 1951 title came the roundabout way, through winning the Polish Cup while playing under the name Unia Chorzów.

Between them the club changed name through occupation, through postwar mergers into ZKS Unia-Ruch, and back to Ruch Chorzów in 1956, the identity it has kept since.

Górnik Zabrze is the fixture that matters most, the Great Silesian Derby, with Polonia Bytom's Oldest Derby in Silesia running alongside it as the other local rivalry that never cools. Camil Grabara and Michał Helik came up through the club's own ranks before moving on.

The team plays in blue and white, the colours behind the Niebiescy nickname, and for most of its history has done so at the Stadion Ruchu in Chorzów, a ground built for 9,300. Since October 2023, with that stadium under reconstruction, matches have shifted to the Stadion Śląski in the same city, a stand-in several times the size of home.
