Dragalevtsi sits on the lower slopes above Sofia.

In 1959/60 the club finished 5th in the first division, its highest placing, and won the Bulgarian Cup in the same season, beating Lokomotiv Sofia 4–3. In 1969 it was merged into CSKA Sofia, and it did not get its independence back until 1988.

In May 1948 the club had already been folded together with CDV Chavdar, won the Bulgarian championship that year, and then watched the title reassigned to CDNV — the side that would become CSKA.

Rumei Chandarov has owned the club since 2015.
