Sebastian John Wade Gardiner

The debut came fast. Three days after signing for Septemvri Sofia on 15 August 2025, Wade was on the pitch for the 2–1 win over Dobrudzha 1919.

Born in Palma to an English father and a Spanish mother, he came through the youth ranks at RCD Mallorca before Villarreal signed him in 2019. He spent the 2020–21 season on loan at CD Roda's under-19 side, where he made 19 appearances and scored twice, and in October 2021 he played in the UEFA Youth League for the first time, against Young Boys.

What followed was a run of short stays. He joined Torino's Primavera setup on a free transfer in January 2022. In September 2023 he moved to Shabab Al Ahli in the United Arab Emirates, again on a free. By February 2024 he was back in Spain with RCD Mallorca B, the club where he had started. He was called up to the Mallorca first team in September 2024 but did not appear in a senior league match.

Wade is a left-footed centre-back who has also been used at left-back. Before his professional career he represented the Selección Balear, the Balearic Islands regional side, at a tournament in France. He holds English and Spanish eligibility, and has not been capped at any recognised international level.

His contract in Sofia runs until June 2028. He wears number 3.
