About the player
Yoan Baurenski joined CSKA Sofia's academy in 2016, after early years at Montana Stars and a brief spell at Litex Lovech, and was promoted to the senior squad in 2019. Four appearances followed. The rest of his CSKA years were spent elsewhere.
A season at Litex Lovech in 2020–21 brought 23 appearances; the following year at Botev Vratsa brought 26 and his first senior goal. Six matches for CSKA Sofia II in 2022 marked the end of the road in Sofia.
Beroe took him in 2023 and used him 11 times. He left on a free again in 2025 for Septemvri Sofia, and by May 2026 had made 35 appearances there.
A defensive midfielder, right-footed, he has been picked for Bulgaria at three youth levels: three caps at under-17 in 2017, three at under-19 in 2019, and seven at under-21 from 2021. A senior call-up has not come. Nor have titles or individual awards.
