St Mary's College

In September 1900 a group of past pupils gave them one.

The Leinster Senior Cup arrived in 1958. That was also the year of the move to Templeville Road. The club had left Kimmage Grove in 1954 and spent two decades at College Drive. It then bought land from the Holy Ghost Community and opened the new ground with a gala match against an international XV led by Willie John McBride. The same season brought the All-Ireland Cup.

When the All-Ireland League began in 1999–2000, St Mary's won Division 1 and became the first club from outside Munster to take the title. They won Division 1B in 2016 and again in 2024, and Division 1A in 2012 and in 2026.

Across the Dublin postal districts sits Terenure College, and the meeting of the two is the D6 Derby, named for the districts where both clubs sit.

He captained the British & Irish Lions on their 1983 tour, and more than 30 St Mary's players have won caps for Ireland.
