Šumperk

Šumperk has never been an Extraliga club, but the shelf of 2. Liga East titles keeps filling up regardless: 1998, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2019, 2020. There has been no national cup and no top-flight silverware, but the club has kept finding its way back to the top of the second tier often enough that it reads less like a fluke and more like a habit.

The team traces back to 1945, when it began life as TJ Železničář Šumperk, and it did not survive that history intact. Financial trouble broke the club apart in 2002, and it had to be rebuilt from scratch the following year as Hokej Šumperk 2003, but the club found a new one soon enough in Tomáš Sedlák, who ended up as its all-time leader in games, assists and points, and in Daniel Vachutka, still the club's leading scorer.
