Tartu Kalev

Ülenurme Stadium holds 312 people. FA Tartu Kalev arrived in 2018 as the football wing of Tartu Spordiselts Kalev, a sports society whose own story runs back to 1901 as a weightlifting circle, and came back on 26 September 1991. The football side that once carried the Kalev name in Tartu had folded decades earlier, passing through names like Sportiselts ESDAG and FC DAG before disappearing in the early 1990s. The academy founded in 2018 does not claim that team as an ancestor — it was built to put a competitive Kalev football side on the pitch again after the name had sat empty in the league pyramid.

In the Esiliiga B, the second tier, the club reached fourth place in 2023. The Estonian Cup has given the kalevlased, as Kalev sides are known in Estonian football shorthand, a run to the last sixteen in both 2022 and 2023, without a trophy to show for it.
