US Hostert

Stade Jos Becker holds 1,500, and the club has spent most of its life at that scale, in a village that belongs to the commune of Niederanven in central Luxembourg.

The club had been founded on 24 March 1946, under the full name Football Club Union Sportive Hostert a.s.b.l., and only in 2011 did it reach the National Division for the first time.

What followed was quicker than anything before it. Hostert reached the final of the Coupe de Luxembourg in 2017–18 and could not be separated from Racing FC Union Luxembourg across the 90 minutes and extra time. Goalless, the tie went to penalties, and Racing took it 4–3.

The league form around that final was the most sustained the club has managed. Hostert led the National Division table in 2016–17 and again in 2018–19, and finished second in 2021–22 — high placings rather than titles, since the championship has never come to Hostert.
