Nobody outside Tema pays much attention to a Zone III relegation scrap, but inside the municipality the fixture that matters is against Tema Youth FC, the two clubs sharing a catchment and a rivalry that has never needed a nickname to mean something at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.
Vision started out in 1999 as Eleven Strangers, a name it carried for two years before the switch to Vision Football Club in 2001. The Royals spent the following two decades working through the regional and lower national tiers: the Greater Accra Regional Second Division, Zone 4, won in 2010–11 and retained the year after. The step that mattered came in June 2024, when a 2-1 win over Uncle T FC settled the Division One League Zone III title and sent the club into the Ghana Premier League for the first time. A DOL Super Cup followed the same year, taken on penalties against Okwawu United.
The 2024/25 season, Vision's first at the top level, doubled as an introduction to a squad built largely through the club's own academy rather than recruitment. Emmanuel Kyei Baffour had already been named Player of the Season in the Division One campaign that won promotion, and George Tei Nagadzi's progress through the youth ranks earned him a call-up to the Ghana under-20 squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations at that age group.
The player the promotion is most tied to, though, is Labaran Majeed Alidu. He was Young Player of the Season in the Division One title run, and when the Premier League campaign began he was handed the captaincy, becoming the league's youngest-ever captain in the process — a decision that said as much about what Vision expected from him as about what he had already shown.
