Wallisellen's ice hockey team took shape in 1964. More recently the club has been climbing rather than looking back, finishing top of the 2. Liga in 2023–24 and earning promotion into the Swiss League's third tier, Division 1, where it now plays.
The closest it came to silverware was in 2013–14, when the team reached the 2. Liga final and finished runners-up. It marked the club's high point on paper, even if it did not come with a trophy.
Home games are played at the Eisstadion Wallisellen, part of the town's Sportanlagen AG complex, where the club is simply known as EHC Wallisellen or, to those who follow it locally, as the Walliseller.
