Nycke Groot spent three seasons in the youth ranks at Wognum before the game took her elsewhere.
The Cup itself has been won six times in total, most recently in 2010–11.
None of that has dulled the local rivalry with KRAS/Volendam, still played as the Noord-Hollandse derby.
The club has changed its name with its sponsors more than once — Zeeman Vastgoed, then Kiddy World, before settling on Westfriesland SEW in 2011 — but the initials have stayed constant throughout, back to the club founded in Wognum in August 1951 as Sport En Wilskracht.
