HV Quintus Women

Lisanne Kruijswijk took her first steps in handball at Quintus before the game took her to Venlo and on to Spain, to Super Amara Bera Bera, and into the Dutch under-18 and under-20 sides. The women's side has held its spot in the Eredivisie since 1968 and has never dropped out of it.

The title came twice, in 2006 and 2007, and both years also brought the Dutch Supercup. The KNVB Cup has been won five times, the first as far back as 1979, the most recent in 2019, when Quintus beat HandbaL Venlo 27–24 in the final. In Europe the club reached the semi-finals of the EHF Challenge Cup twice, in 2016–17 and 2018–19, with a quarter-final in between.

Matches against VELO Handbal are known simply as the Westland derby; against HV Hellas, from nearby The Hague, it is called the Den Haag/Westland derby. Home games are played at the Eekhout Hal, a hall the club's own supporters call "De Hel van de Heul" — the Hell of the Heul — for the way noise gathers under its roof.

The hall holds around 1,000 people.
