Foreholte Women

Ricardo Clarijs took Foreholte back into the Eredivisie in 2017, the club's first appearance in the top flight in more than two decades. It did not last: an eighth-place finish in that first season was followed by relegation, and it took until Patrick Jordaan's spell in charge, running through to the end of 2023–24, before the team pushed for a way back. The return arrived in 2024–25, when the Eerste Divisie title was won again.

None of it was supposed to start from nothing. Foreholte's current existence is a restart: the merger club Noorlander-Bollenstreek collapsed financially in 1992, and Foreholte was reconstituted that December, with the founding deed signed on the 30th. Everything since has been rebuilt from the lower divisions upward, through promotions in 1996 and 2015 before the breakthrough of 2017.

Naomi Hoogervorst, Marisha van der Geest and the Huiberts sisters, Marit and Milou, have carried the team through those Eredivisie years and the seasons of rebuilding that followed relegation.

Home games are played in Voorhout, where the purple-and-white colours have given the team its nickname, de paars-witten. The hall's stand retracts to free the floor when needed, and even fully extended it seats only 510.
